Distributed Packet Buffers For High-Bandwidth Switches And Routers

A new method of coordinating multiple subsystems with a load balancing algorithm is proposed that will maximize the performance of overall system. a new packet-buffer architecture is presented that have advantage of being scalable and efficient. The advantage of the proposed technique over conventional techniques is that the proposed distributed packet buffer architecture is scalable to fulfill the buffering needs of high bandwidth link.
